America World City
  • America World City
    was designed to
    serve three distinct markets:

    the $40 billion-a-year conventional cruise
    market;

the $100 billion-a-year meeting and conference
    market; and

the much larger general leisure travel market
    that encompasses all domestic and
    international vacation travel, including general
tourism, theme parks, resorts, spa, shopping,
    gaming and entertainment venues.

  • America World City will be
    registered under the American
flag. Under U.S. law, only a
    U.S.-built and U.S.-registered
    ship can engage in coastwise
    trade which is essential to
    attract the meeting and confer-
ence market as well as first-
time cruisers who may wish to
visit the ship for only one day or
    two. With a coastwise itinerary
    and the flexibility of the
    city-ship’s day cruisers, guests
can come and go as they like,
check in and check out as with
    any land-based hotel, resort or

    conference facility (as opposed
to when the ship returns to port).

    The American Flagship offers
    over 100,000 sq. feet of
    dedicated meeting, conference
    and exhibition space, thousands
    of comparable guest rooms for
    meeting attendees, and a
    broad range of activities and
    amenities for accompanying
    family members. Operating
under the Stars & Stripes, the
    city-ship will trade, for example,
from New York in the spring,

    summer and fall, and from
    Port Canaveral in the winter
    months. Taken together, this
    itinerary encompasses 25
metropolitan areas and 12 of the
    nation’s and the world’s largest
    tourist destinations, attracting
    a population of 100-million
    Americans within an hour’s
drive of a place where they
could get on or off the city-ship.
    Moreover, only meetings
    conducted on American-flagged
    vessels are eligible for tax
    deductibility under U.S. law.
