World City has updated its 2004 “YES WE CAN” flyer and is distributing it to Members of Congress, other government officials, and hundreds of companies across the country that will participate in the $1.5 billion American Flagship project, creating thousands of near-term and long-term jobs - at no cost to the taxpayers.

The 2004 message hasn’t changed, but the facts and figures most definitely have changed:

  • the foreign-flag cruise industry is now a $40 billion-a-year industry operating primarily off US dollar revenues with third world crews and exempt from US taxes and stringent USA ‘rules of the road’ in terms of safety, environmental, and workplace requirements;

  • the world’s largest ship is no longer the Queen Mary. Now it’s the 220,000 GRT Oasis of the Seas built in Finland and financed mostly by the Finnish government for Royal Caribbean International – with a sister ship coming along soon which was financed in the exact same manner.

Is America missing the boat? YES WE ARE!

Can we capture of share of this booming $40-billion-a-year industry operating on our shores with mostly US-dollar revenues?

YES WE CAN
